The revolution in early urological diagnosis

By analysing the trend of the urine with Streamcheck, the first signs of urological diseases are detected early and effectively prevented.

How Streamcheck works
Invisible
Widespread disease
40% of all men over the age of 50 suffer from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Lack of
Precautionary behaviour
Stigma and lack of awareness prevent people from attending screening appointments.
Current screening not in line
with guidelines
Selective urological prophylaxis is not sufficient to notice the first changes in the urine in time and treat them appropriately.

Why Streamcheck?

Only 18% of all men over the age of 35 attend the recommended urological check-ups. Because
sporadic screening does not allow reliable diagnosis, the first signs of urological diseases often go undetected.

Only when complaints such as difficult urination or the constant urge to go to the toilet occur are appointments made - often with long waiting times.

Possible consequences: Irreparable long-term damage such as incontinence, impotence as well as bladder and kidney problems, which considerably reduce one's quality of life.

Conventional strip tests are certainly useful for detecting acute deviations in health values. However, it is problematic that they cannot provide a complete picture of the state of health and the first signals of urological diseases remain undetected with them - also because they are carried out too rarely, i.e. only when visiting the specialist.
Through a twice-monthly self-monitoring with Streamcheck, even minor changes in the urine that would otherwise have gone unnoticed can be detected at an early stage on the basis of a uroflow curve that is documented via an app.

In addition to recording biochemical data that provide information on ten biomarkers such as blood, leukocytes or the protein content of the urine, Streamcheck also records valuable flow data on urine volume or the duration of the urine stream.

This approach enables early treatment - and reduces the risk of serious surgical interventions, which are avoidable with optimal early urological detection.

These measurements are necessary for the early detection of urological diseases

Diseases in the bladder and kidney area usually progress insidiously. With the help of urine flow measurement (uroflowmetry), they can already be measured in the symptom-free early stages and thus become visible at an early stage.

Max. Flow rate (QMax)

The maximum urine flow rate should be 30ml/s at best. Obstruction of the urethra due to benign prostatic enlargement or post urination may cause a low QMax value.

Drained volume

The volume indicates the amount of urine emptied. Bladder capacity or overactivity can influence the volume.

Uroflow curve

The Urolow curve visualises the bladder emptying pattern (stop-and-go) and registers possible dribbling or bladder congestion, which may represent/ constitute the first symptoms of a urologial disease.

Biochemical data

If the concentration of ten different biomarkers in the urine is within or outside the ideal range, conclusions can also be drawn about the health of the bladder and kidneys.

Professional early detection for improved fine diagnostics

Detailed analysis of urine data

The bi-weekly health data collected from the urine is checked for deviations from the normal values. The regular data collection is an ideal basis for assessing the state of health.

Access to doctor network and optimal fine diagnostics

If irregularities occur, a visit to a specialist is advised. For this purpose, users are given access to a comprehensive network of doctors. Because Streamcheck alone collects analyses at such a high frequency, a faster and more accurate fine diagnosis is made possible.

Issue of a medical report

Every three months, it is also possible to download the trend analysis of the urine data in the form of a report from the app. From this, the specialist can deduce a possible need for therapy at a glance.

Consistent protection of patient data

All collected uroflowmetry data is backed up locally in the app only. Streamcheck guarantees its users the maximum security of your health data from third-party access.

Frequently asked questions

What distinguishes Streamcheck from conventional test strips?

Conventional strip tests do not serve as a precautionary measure because they are only used when symptoms are already present. Test strips only provide information on whether biochemical values are elevated. A urine flow measurement, which provides further important information, is missing. Users must then carry out the assessment of the self-test themselves - without receiving a recommendation on what to do.

Why is uroflowmetry performed by a doctor not sufficient?

Uroflowmetry can technically only be carried out by a doctor. However, medical experts agree that the "one-time effect" is only of limited significance. By contrast, urine flow measurement during a natural urine flow (at home) records the data from various measurements: In this way, slow changes in urine flow become visible - the first signs of a bladder emptying disorder or weakening of the urinary stream do not go unnoticed.

What is the process in concrete terms?

After switching on the device with the button on the shaft, the ring lights up red twice. Now the device must be connected to the app and a urine strip inserted. When the ring changes colour from red to green, the connection is active and the device is ready for use.
Now you can urinate through the ring in your personal comfortable situation while sitting or standing and the data is automatically saved on the mobile phone. The device can be rinsed under running water, the test strip can be disposed of with the household waste and Streamcheck is ready for the next use.

Can more than one user make use of the device?

Up to 6 users can be stored in the app. It can be adjusted to suit different users.

What about the protection of my health data?

Health data belongs to the sensitive data with an increased need for protection. The protection of this data from access by third parties therefore has an enormously high priority at Streamcheck - only you have access to your personal data at any time. The anonymous evaluation of your health data is carried out by a doctor with a corresponding assessment of the results. Moreover, the anonymous evaluation of the data by a doctor only takes place if you actively agree to the data evaluation in the app.

Does Streamcheck prevent prostate cancer?

Streamcheck does not replace the screening examination for prostate cancer. However, numerous diseases such as bladder emptying disorders, prostate enlargement with urine outflow obstruction, diseases of the kidney (protein in the urine, etc.) or diseases of the bladder up to bladder cancer (blood in the urine, etc.) could possibly be detected at an early stage.

Can women also use Streamcheck?

Women in particular can take a test at an early stage in case of urination problems (pain, frequent urge to urinate, etc.). If there is an indication of an incipient urinary tract infection, countermeasures can be taken at an early stage through a targeted approach. Antibiotics (intolerance! resistance!) are often avoided. The response of the therapy is documented by self-monitoring.
